  1. How much does an open records request cost? The first fifteen minutes of the highest paid person working on your request is free. After that, the cost will be calculated at the prorated hourly salary of the lowest-paid, fulltime employee who has the necessary skill and training to answer the request. If the request will take longer than 15 minutes to fill, a quote will be provided with a cost and time estimate for the fulfilment of the request. Fees for certified or other copies will be charged as allowed by law. Paper copies will be provided upon request at $0.10 per page.
  2. How long will it take to receive a response to my open records request? You should receive a response to your request within three business days of submission. If your request will take longer than three business days to compile, you will be notified of the time and cost estimate within three business days of the receipt of your request.
  3. How will I receive my open records request response? You will be notified when your request is complete. The preferred and most utilized delivery method is through download from this portal. If paper copies are requested, you will be notified when your copies are available for pickup (charge applies - see above). If requested or if your request is too voluminous to be provided through this portal, you may receive your request on a flash drive at a minimal cost (typically $5). In some cases, you may receive a response to your request through email.

  5. Can I request information publicly available to be summarize or compiled by County staff? No. If information is publicly available, such as meeting minutes, video archives, meeting agendas or County ordinances, we will provide you with the website address where the information can be found.
